Introducing Ciphiron Cam – IP Camera Viewer & Android Security Camera

Your security cameras, your Android devices, one powerful app.

We’re excited to introduce Ciphiron Cam, a new Android application from BeshevGames designed to make security camera monitoring more flexible, accessible, and convenient.

Whether you want to monitor your home, keep an eye on your workspace, manage existing IP cameras, or give an old Android smartphone a second life, Ciphiron Cam brings everything together in one modern interface.

Unlike solutions that require you to commit to a particular camera manufacturer’s ecosystem, Ciphiron Cam focuses on widely used protocols such as RTSP and ONVIF, giving you more freedom to build a monitoring setup that works for you.

Two Powerful Ways to Use Ciphiron Cam

1. Monitor Your Existing IP and Security Cameras

Already have IP cameras installed around your home or business?

Ciphiron Cam lets you connect to compatible cameras, view live video feeds, and manage devices from your Android smartphone.

You can manually add RTSP streams or discover compatible ONVIF cameras on your local network.

Depending on your camera’s capabilities, you can also:

  • Watch live video: Access camera feeds directly from your Android device.

  • Discover ONVIF cameras: Find compatible cameras connected to your local network.

  • Control PTZ cameras: Pan, tilt, and zoom supported cameras without switching between different manufacturer apps.

  • Use camera presets: Quickly move supported PTZ cameras to saved positions.

  • Monitor events: Review supported motion, tamper, video-loss, and other camera events.

  • Capture snapshots: Save important moments as images.

  • Record video: Create and manage local recordings from supported streams.

  • Organize cameras: Keep devices grouped by name and location.

Whether you have one camera or several, Ciphiron Cam provides a central place to access and manage them.

2. Turn an Old Android Phone into a Security Camera

Have an old Android smartphone sitting in a drawer?

Instead of throwing it away or letting it collect dust, you can turn it into a useful security camera.

Ciphiron Cam includes a dedicated Camera Mode, allowing a compatible Android phone to act as an RTSP camera on your local network.

Simply install the application, enable Camera Mode, and connect from another device using Ciphiron Cam or a compatible RTSP viewer.

Camera Mode includes useful capabilities such as:

  • Video streaming from the phone’s camera.

  • Optional microphone audio streaming.

  • Stream authentication for access protection.

  • Camera orientation handling and tap-to-focus.

  • Motion detection and configurable motion zones.

  • Information about connected viewers.

  • Battery and temperature safeguards.

This opens up plenty of possibilities. You could monitor your garage, check on a pet, create a temporary monitoring setup, or simply experiment with your own home surveillance system.

And the best part? You can reuse hardware you already own.

Designed with Privacy in Mind

Security software should give users control over their own devices and information.

That’s why Ciphiron Cam takes a local-first approach.

The application’s core camera features do not require creating a Ciphiron Cam account or subscribing to a mandatory cloud service.

Camera configurations and saved media are handled locally, while saved camera credentials are protected using Android Keystore-backed encryption.

Additional security features include optional application locking using supported Android authentication methods and encrypted configuration backup and restore.

Of course, network security still matters. We recommend using strong camera passwords and avoiding direct exposure of camera services to the public internet.

A Modern and Customizable Experience

Ciphiron Cam was developed with usability in mind.

The interface provides convenient access to camera feeds, controls, recordings, events, and settings without making everyday monitoring unnecessarily complicated.

Users can choose between light and dark themes, customize interface colors, and personalize the application to suit their preferences.

Whether you’re monitoring cameras occasionally or accessing them regularly, the goal is to keep the experience simple and comfortable.

Watch Ciphiron Cam in Action

We’ve also prepared a demonstration video showing how Ciphiron Cam works in a real-world setup.

The video demonstrates connecting multiple Android devices as cameras, viewing their feeds from another smartphone, connecting a dedicated ONVIF camera, and exploring supported controls such as PTZ and camera lighting.

Ciphiron Cam is available to download on Google Play.

The application includes advertising, with an optional one-time Premium purchase that removes ads and unlocks additional appearance customization options.

Users can also activate 24 hours of Premium access by watching an optional rewarded advertisement.

We want users to be able to explore the application before deciding whether to support its continued development.
